MCO brings to life the vivacious spirit of the Baroque in a spectacular kaleidoscope of musical colour crossing five centuries. In a program to take you from the most dazzling highs to the most intimate depths, we feature Bach chorales arranged by great conductors, Scarlatti’s piano sonatas brilliantly reinvented by an English contemporary, and a show-stopping Baroque-style concerto by Finnish composer Olli Mustonen.
Partners in life and on stage, Ioana Tache and Kristian Winther are among Australia’s finest violin soloists. With passion and energy to spare, they join MCO soloists to perform the most wonderful concerti for three violins and orchestra by Vivaldi & Bach.
