Future of the Left

To celebrate nothing more than a love of playing loud rock music, October (the most geometrically sound month) and a new, totally skill video for the song ‘French Lessons’, Future of the Left will be ‘unleashing’* a tour across/down/inside the UK between the 1st and 10th of that month, calling at Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds on Tues 7th October. If you attend you are guaranteed rock music and a better class of sweating room-mate. If you don’t then loneliness will surely be your pillow.

*not unleashing. Never unleashing.

‘French Lessons’ is taken from the band’s fourth studio album How to Stop Your Brain in an Accident, a record described by Drowned in Sound as “arguably the band’s finest hour… Falco has never sounded better” and proclaimed by Pitchfork to be “like a flurry of damning punches bludgeoning your face.. It’s their toughest, meatiest record to date”.

Dingus Khan

“There is a new exciting music being made, with subtle harmonies and fierce grinding dischords, a music so powerful that it would drive us mad if only our ears were tuned to the sound of it”

--------------

Them Wolves

Birmingham noise-rock trio unite in a shower of ugly, lurching riffage. Reference points include early 80s sludge and willfully abrasive noise rock (a la The Jesus Lizard & Pissed Jeans). Spotted performing with the likes of F**ked Up, Trash Talk, Dope Body, Blacklisters & Bats before even officially releasing any music, and described as ‘Not just band, more a weapon of mass destruction… makes Black Sabbath sound like The Saturdays’ by The Hearing Aid – expect relentlessly pummelling rhythms, caustic feedback-drenched guitar and alpha-male inadequacy.
