Black Yaya
is David Ivar, Frontman and Writer for Herman Dune. David Ivar wrote entire sets of songs for his new record and thought of them as a totally different but equally important output for his creativity. He recorded a surprising album of Eerie Themes and Tales of Revenge And Murder, drawing inspiration from the darkness surrounding him.

Black Yaya will start his first tour ever, ironically, with the End Of The Road festival. The concerts will be solo performances to introduce the new songs in their simplest form, with guitar, effects sometimes, and harmonica. Black Yaya is the offspring of Rage and Thunder. Black Yaya is Anger and Guile. Black Yaya is a Merciless Fight, and Redemption Songs.

Turner Cody
grew up in Boston before moving to New York City in 1999 at the age of 18. Since he left his hometown for New York he has recorded and self-released no less than 8 albums. Official releases started in 2007 with a compilation from those early recordings, entitled “60 Seasons” and UK re-issue of “Quarter Century” followed up by “First Light” 2008 (BB*Island/Boy Scout), “Gangbusters” 2010 (Boy Scout/BB*Island), the all acoustic live in the studio "Rules Of The Road" (BB*Island) in 2011 and just recently "Last Of The Big Spender" (Boy Scout) .

Tuner Cody began his career at the fabled Sidewalk Cafe. He has toured Europe with Ish Marquez and as the opener/bass player for Herman Dune, with whom he has worked closely since 2003. You can see Cody in Jeffrey Lewis’ Williamsburg Will Oldham Horrour music video. When he is not writing and recording, Cody dances to klezmer music at Williamsburg’s Hassid meets Hipster, which he helped found in 2004, and spins records with Adam Green in East Village.

As a singer/songwriter, he follows the paths of Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan or Daniel Johnston. Cody appeared on the 2002 compilation, Antifolk Vol. 1 released by Rough Trade, alongside The Moldy Peaches, Jeffrey Lewis, Diane Cluck, and others.
