Tonight, 02/13/13 there is going to be a REALLY great show at the "CENTRAL Social Aid and Pleasure Club" in Santa Monica. It's on Santa Monica Blvd and 14th street.
Why should you go? For one, there's actually really GOOD parking. The bar itself is also beautiful. Gloss finished bar top, great selection of light, dark, amber and IPA beers on tap as well as a full bar of all spirits necessary for a good ole' sexy night out. This place has got character. It even has it's own fireplace when you first walk in. VERY cozy. There's a big door that separates the bar from the venue so if you aren't feeling the music, you can just chill at the bar without surplus noise and have a conversation. But tonight, you won't want to.
Now for the Bands:
Tangent Transmission is somewhere in between MUSE, the Mars Volta, Incubus, and Tool. Because of their eclectic sound they've had their music placed on the TV show NCIS:LA, as well as a paddle surfing documentary called H2indo. Google it, it's true.
Then there's Kiven. Kiven is like... honestly it's really hard to describe them. Several of the members met through USC music programs and that's not even giving their sophisticated songwriting any justice. Tyler's vocals are INCREDIBLE, they riff really hard but not TOO much, and they just have SUCH GROOVE!
Next is Rubberneck Lions. Going back to riffing, these guys GET IT. Similar to, but different from the Arctic Monkeys, these guys will get you moving and screaming, "I can't believe it's WEDNESDAY!" From Ventura, CA you'll thank these guys for making the trip for you.
Lastly is the Blind Pets: Straight up pedigree Punk/Blues Rock. They take everything you think you know about this guitar music and keep it new and fresh. All the way from Austin TX, these guys have come far to share the gold they've found together.

All in all, this is going to be a really fun show. There might be more in the future, but they won't be the same as tonight. hope to see you all there. ;]
