Madison Violet is a folk/country/roots duo comprised of singer-songwriters Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac. Since releasing, No Fool for Trying (2009), Madison Violet (Brenley MacEachern & Lisa MacIassac) won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, took home a Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year, and were nominated for JUNO Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year. The 2011 follow-up to their breakthrough successes The Good in Goodbye (True North Records) captures the duo's growth and musical maturity. Their distinct take on Americana-inspired melodies beautifully contrasts with their breathtakingly personal lyrics, creating songs that blend nods to Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch with radio-friendly flecks of The Court-Yard Hounds.

Receiving a mass of acclaim from outlets including the BBC, the CBC, Maverick Magazine, NPR, and Penguin Eggs Magazine, No Fool for Trying made dedicated fans of even the most hard-to-crack critics. Ultimately, Madison Violet captured the attention of Mojo Magazine, landing "Small Of My Heart" on the publication's distinguished playlist, "Mojo's Top 10," in December 2009. Madison Violet also have the unique distinction of being the only Canadians to win The John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The duo has sold-out venues across North America and Europe, had the prestigious distinction of touring with Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe, and has shared stages with contemporaries such as Chantal Kreviazuk, Ron Sexsmith and The Indigo Girls. With their newest effort, Madison Violet prove on they're among Canada's brightest singer/songwriters.

Music has played an integral part in Lauren Shera's life from the very beginning. The New York native grew up surrounded by an eclectic range of performers. Her original songs and soulful voice combine to create a sound that is both powerful and melancholy. Armed with a luscious vibrato, Lauren's voice is a uniquely distinctive. In 2011, Shera performed at Bonnaroo and was also hand-picked by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons to be one of three artists to introduce his renowned artist collective, Communion, to the United States. Lauren has shared the stage with such artists as Ray LaMontagne, Jackie Greene, Jason Mraz, Phil Lesh, Wanda Jackson, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shawn Colvin, Billy Bragg, Nanci Griffith, Kristin Hersh, Joan Osborne and Abigail Washburn. In addition to Bonnaroo, she has appeared at the High Sierra Music Festival, Sausalito Music and Arts Festival, Monterey Music Summit and South by Southwest. When she was 18-years-old she was also invited to perform at the Bob Dylan Tribute Concert at New York City's Avery Fisher Hall. When she isn't performing solo, Shera performs with the Monterey-based female trio Honeymoon.

From his teen years swapping songs with friends in Houston to the struggles of making a name for himself in Nashville, David's songwriting journey has spanned multiple EP's and a full-length, American Soil which garnered over 1,200 downloads in a 48-hr. period on Noisetrade. In 2010, David played 150 shows on numerous, independently booked tours. Feeling truly at home on the road, he calls his second home Austin, Texas. It's here where he wrote and recorded his latest release, Strangetown EP. The songs, with their heart-yearning lyrics and sparse musical backdrop, tells things as he sees them: honest, unfiltered and true. David Ramirez knows no luxury. He wants no satisfaction. All he needs is an acoustic guitar and the words in his mouth to tell the true stories of a wandering man. But to see him live, with only that acoustic guitar in hand, spitting those words into rings of fire, is to experience something real....something that cannot be reproduced.
