Astral People present oOoOO (Tri Angle) + Lapalux (Brainfeeder)

Astral People continues to take Sydney on an interplanetary ride with a cross-continental double header of audio-experimentation. On a continuous quest to cross the audio-globe and beyond, Essex-based LAPALUX will be playing alongside USA's loop-freak oOoOO for a night of warped house and washed out sounds from the future.

Stuart Howard aka LAPALUX is the essex-based cross section between UK sounds and a post-Dilla America. Lying amongst a bed of shimmering sounds and analogue hi-end, a devotion to hip-hop beat work and experimental electronica shines through his globally-aclaimed work, clearly a result of his multi-dimensional influence and aspirations. Having released his debut on Pictures Music, it was his 2012 'When Your Gone' EP that caught the attention of the likes of Red Bull Music Academy, XLR8R, Fact Magazine and London's ultra-respected mix series Boiler Room. Widely recognised as a key upcomer in the underground beat scene, his skills have been requested by the likes of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Crystal Fighters amongst the high-end of the global beat scene. Presenting his exclusive live show, Lapalux pushes the audience with a wall of sound, showcasing the sense of texture and melodic beauty he's championed over time.

Joining Lapalux in this double-header of audio analysis is USA's oOoOO, fresh out of his homeland before a forthcoming EP on Brooklyn's Tri Angle Records.

Don't get turned off by the phonetic confusion that is oOoOO (pronounced Oh!), as his style has become synonymous with the underground of 2012. Taking a chopped and screwed approach to pop melodies and generational classics, oOoOO's methodic taste for washed out drum loops and ghostly aesthetics has kicked global hype into overdrive. His debut self-titled EP was released on the acclaimed Tri Angle records (home to previous Astral People tour artists How to Dress Well and Balam Acab) where his next release is slated for later this year. Supported and championed by the highest order of worldwide tastemakers, OoOoo has appeared on the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy and Fact Magazine, all touting him as one of the major players in the dubbed-out hip hop mania gripping the electronic music scene.

On support duties is the always amazing Albatross and ex-Bon Chat, Bon Rat member Gardland playing his second show ever before he heads to Berlin to record his debut album.
